Recruitment does not need to be complicated. MatchMedics take a traditional, person-centred approach to matching people with employers taking into account the needs of both.

We Recruit Doctors – as specialist medical recruitment consultants, we know that our networks are our “net worth”. So we spend inordinate amounts of time researching and executing search techniques and strategies designed to build and strengthen these networks.

Clients of MatchMedics tap into these networks when they ask us to fill a position and Doctors working with us benefit from discussing the current market with recruiters who understand and have a presence in the medical sector.(and by the way, we do not charge doctors a cent for our services.)

We probably ask more questions than most recruiters – but we do not apologise for that. Only by fully understanding each person’s unique situation and each organisation’s distinctive culture and environment, can we make the match.

Richard Morton

Director

Richard founded MatchMedics to fill a gap in the medical recruitment market. He operates on the simple premise that by providing the very highest levels of service, clients and candidates will come back time and time again. Having worked in medical recruitment in Ireland since 2003, Richard uses his knowledge of the healthcare staffing sector to assist colleagues, clients and candidates to achieve the very best they can.

Outside of work, Richard follows the fortunes of his home-town club Coventry City on the football field and takes Jack, his Cocker Spaniel on adventurous walks near his home in rural County Clare.

Denisa Derecichei

Recruitment Consultant

Denisa has been recruiting candidates from all over the world into Ireland over many years. Her current mission is to assist General Medicine, medical sub specialty and Obstetrics & Gynaecology doctors in the recruitment process. In doing so she aims to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment experience for all doctors. Whether you are already based in Ireland or are considering it as your next career location, Denisa is here to guide you along the process.
Denisa enjoys experimenting with home cooking and baking, learning about cultural cuisines and spending time in nature discovering hidden gems of the Emerald Isle.

Suzi Maguire

Recruitment Consultant

Suzi joined the MatchMedics team in May 2021 where she works closely with both public and private hospitals in Ireland to source Consultants and NCHDs in Surgery and Anaesthetics.
Prior to joining MatchMedics, Suzi worked for 4 years in the Medical Device and Biopharmaceutical sector in Ireland before deciding to make the move to Healthcare. Suzi takes a genuine interest in her Doctors’ careers and is passionate about providing quality support for them in making the right next move for themselves and their families in Ireland.
Outside of work you’ll probably find conquering the peak of an Irish mountain, or running after her very energetic 6 year old.

Shirley O’Sullivan

Recruitment Consultant

Shirley takes care of the General Practice, Family Medicine, Women’s Health and Aesthetics doctors and clients. She understands that building trust and making careful selections results in the best possible outcomes for both the doctors and the practices that she works with.

Prior to this, having lived in South East Asia and recruited in the competitive international schools industry, Shirley can closely identify with the challenges and the rewards associated with moving to a new country to live and work.

Having recently completed a master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Shirley takes pride in keeping relationships human in an increasingly algorithmically driven world.

When not building relationships with doctors and clients, Shirley is a busy Mum who is happiest when out for a windy walk on an Irish beach or at home recreating dishes she encountered on her global travels.

Chloe McGovern

Recruitment Resourcer

Chloe is a third year Marketing student at the University of Limerick, currently working as a Doctor Resourcer with MatchMedics. In her role, Chloe has the opportunity to use her internet marketing skills to resource, communicate and assist doctors from all over the world to find their ideal new role in Ireland.

Outside of work, Chloe loves to travel and you will find her visiting new places, near and far.

Graham Cosgrave

Head of Medical Recruitment

Graham has been honing his recruitment skills coming on 10 years now – solely recruiting doctors for nearly 8 years. Having a real passion for finding the right hospital for the right person helps in this job – providing long term staffing and career guidance for clients and doctors alike.

When he isn’t searching high and low for the best doctors to relocate to Ireland, Graham enjoys being outdoors. Be it having a swing out on the golf course or jumping into the Irish Sea for a refreshing dip.

James Fleming

Recruitment Consultant

James has had a full and varied career to date including qualifying as a Secondary Education Teacher, growing the commercial business of sport at the world-renowned University of Exeter, being a Personal Trainer in Hong Kong and playing professional Rugby Union in the UK, Europe, Middle East, China and Australia. James has a deep interest in building better working teams, healthier living communities and supporting talented professionals to grow and develop in their next life adventure.

Juliana Mendes

Recruitment Consultant

Juliana has over ten years of experience in recruitment in different markets. She leads the MatchMedics team responsible for sourcing, interviewing and delivering the best doctors, nurses and paramedics worldwide to work onboard cruise ships and loves every time she receives a picture of them to show beautiful scenarios around the world. She has been working with large cruise ship companies over the past year with great successful results. She is enthusiastic about the industry, often saying to her candidates: “I wish I was a Doctor/Nurse to be able to apply for this job.” She truly believes that life onboard is exciting and has lots to offer. When she isn’t working, she enjoys travelling the world and spending time with her dog, Charlie.

Emma Carney

Compliance Officer

Emma is a third year student studying Business in the University of Limerick with majors in Human Resources and minors in Spanish. Emma is our Compliance Officer and she deals with all the required pre-employment documentation, helping our doctors to complete all their paperwork before arriving into Ireland.

In Emma’s spare time she loves all things music and enjoys exploring all of the beautiful coastal towns and beaches that Ireland has to offer.

Roisin O’Callaghan

Recruitment Resourcer

Roisin is a recruitment resourcer responsible for sourcing and building a pipeline of the best doctors, nurses and paramedics to work onboard cruise ships.

With a degree in general nursing, Roisin brings her knowledge of the healthcare industry and a passion for working with people to the team. Roisin also can relate to the stresses that healthcare workers face and make finding their new and ideal role that bit easier.

Outside of work, Roisin loves travelling with family and friends, baking at home and seeing live music of any kind.
