Not that we were blessed with much sunshine in Ireland this year I think it’s safe to say it has now gone for the remaining of this year. So, unless you have an awesome holiday planned in a hot country we all know what happens. Our bodies need multiple vitamins, but one key one we get from the sun is vitamin d.
So unless you are flying away why not try to incorporate more of the vitamin d boosting foods into your diet to help you keep fit and healthy over the coming winter:
- Fatty fish, like tuna, mackerel, and salmon
- Foods fortified with vitamin D, like some dairy products, orange juice, soy milk, and cereals
- Beef liver
- Egg yolks
If you are still concerned and are experiencing any of the symptoms below, please consult your Doctor before taking any supplements, it may not be vitamin d related.
- Getting Sick or Infected Often
- Fatigue and Tiredness – feeling tired can have many causes, and vitamin D deficiency may be one of them.
- Bone and Back Pain
- Impaired Wound Healing
- Hair Loss
- Muscle Pain.
Hope this has helped…..Why not leave your your tasty vitamin d rich recipes to help others at [dxc_social icon=”facebook” size=”32″ link=”https://www.facebook.com/MatchMedics/” margin=”5″] [dxc_social icon=”linkedin” size=”32″ link=”https://ie.linkedin.com/company/matchmedics” margin=”5″]
