Recruitment does not need to be complicated. matchmedics take a traditional, person-centred approach to matching people with employers taking into account the needs of both.
As specialist recruitment consultants, we know that our networks are our “net worth”. So we spend inordinate amounts of time researching and executing search techniques and strategies designed to build and strengthen these networks.
Clients of matchmedics tap into these networks when they ask us to fill a position and our candidates benefit from discussing the current market with recruiters who understand and have a presence in the medical sector.
We probably ask more questions than most recruiters – but we do not apologise for that. Only by fully understanding each person’s unique situation and each organisation’s distinctive culture and environment, can we make the match.
I founded matchmedics to fill a gap in the medical recruitment market. I operate on the simple premise that if we provide the very highest levels of service, clients and candidates will come back to us time and time again. Having worked in medical recruitment since 2003, I try to use that knowledge of the market to assist my colleagues, clients and candidates to achieve the very best they can.
Outside of work, I follow the (increasingly waning) fortunes of Coventry City on the football field, endeavour to stop the grass on my back lawn growing higher than my house and take Jack, our 4 year old Cocker Spaniel on adventurous walks.
I have just returned from Vancouver where I spent a year working in recruitment and enjoying the lifestyle that Canada has to offer. While living in Canada I got the opportunity to work in high volume recruitment and I really enjoyed working with people and trying to find them the best job to fit their needs. Since returning to Ireland and joining the team at matchmedics, I now work with our candidates and our clients on a daily basis to ensure we match the best medical talent with the right job.
I love being outdoors and watching live bands and musicians. Particularly bands that were big in the 1960’s. In the past year I have seen Paul McCartney, The Who and… Herman’s Hermits.
